Riveting. I honestly think even non-fans would like it. It helps put a human face on the guys who you love (or hate) to listen to, and it adds some much-needed perspective on St. Anger, at least for me.

Lars even sort of apologizes for Napster and says he regrets the big deal he made over it. He regretted it after he did it, but he frankly says he couldn't reverse position after he did what he did.

It was also surprisingly funny, especially in parts such as when Metallica are supposed to record a radio commercial for a contest, but think it's so fucking stupid that they just fuck around on the mics for a while and tell the execs later to go fuck themselves.

All in all, being a Metallica uberfan, it was a 4 star film for me. I think just about everyone would like it though.

From the previews it makes it seem as if Lars is a pussy.

I was going to see it, but decided I didn't want to sit in the theatre and do it.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The review I read of the movie points out that they all kinda look like pussies during the therapy sessions, almost like a spoof of this dark, heavy-ass band that everyone knows.

Love documentaries, so I'll probably check it out eventually.
